BigCommerce Architect

We are looking for a BigCommerce Architect or Senior Engineer with strong experience in developing extensions, plugins, and custom integrations for the BigCommerce platform.

The goal is to support our team with technical expertise, help validate the best implementation approach, and guide us through BigCommerce-specific architecture and development practices.

Responsibilities:

• Review the business and technical problem we are trying to solve.

• Recommend the best approach for BigCommerce extension/plugin development.

• Advise on BigCommerce APIs, app architecture, integrations, and platform limitations.

• Support our technical team during discovery and implementation planning.

• Help identify risks, constraints, and best practices for the solution.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with BigCommerce.

• Experience developing BigCommerce apps, extensions, plugins, or custom integrations.

• Good understanding of BigCommerce APIs, storefront customization, and platform architecture.

• Ability to consult, explain technical trade-offs, and guide the engineering team.

• Experience with e-commerce platforms and third-party integrations.

• Good communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with enterprise e-commerce projects.

• Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Magento, or other commerce platforms.

• Previous architecture or technical consulting experience.
